Hi,
I've been given a situational problem where I have to find the total amount of contaminants in a river once outflow of contaminant has been introduced.
So basically:
River flow (80 000m^3 [Cu]=0ppm) _ -->Doesn't reach plant (72 000 m^3 [Cu]=0ppm)
_____________________________ -->Plant (8000 m^3 w/ [Cu]=20ppm)
The two mix at the end of the plant giving a total [Cu] in ppm. To find it would I just use M1V1=M2V2+M3V3 although I'm not using molarity??
I used the above ie 80 000x M1 =0ppm x 72000 + 15ppm x 8000 = 1.5ppm. Is this correct or should I use a different formula???
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
