Chemistry lab question?

Calculate the % empty space in a face centered cubic lattice, and show that it does not depend on the edge length of the unit cell or on the size of the atoms in the unit cell.
Hint: Assume atoms touch along the face diagonal. draw a picture of a face.
1. the edge length in terms of the radii of the atoms in the unit cell.
2. the total volume of the unit cell in terms of the edge length
3. the filled volume from the total volume of atoms in the unit cell. ( remember the volume of 1 molecule is 4pier^3/3)
4. % empty space.

please help me with this
