Stoicheometry
•You will be given a 1M solution of the first reactant, and the second reactant in solid form. You will conduct a pre-lab portion to calculate the mass and volume of each reactant required to make 3 g of precipitate product. You will then conduct the lab without procedures given. You will have a space on your exam page to input the mass of your filter paper before it is used so that the mass of the final product can be determined by the teacher after it his had time to dry.
•You will be assessed on your ability to produce exactly 3 g of product, however, this will be a minor portion of your mark compared to your pre-lab and discussion questions.
•Your discussion and analysis questions will be as follows:
oOne question on limiting and excess reagents
oOne question on percent yield
oOne question on sources of error
