For the reaction shown below, adding sodium bromide to a sample at equilibrium causes the equilibrium to shift:

Fe+3(aq) + SCN-(aq) ⇌ FeSCN+2(aq)
1) left;
2) right;
3) no change;
4) none of these choices.

2) Right
If you add sodium bromide, which is going to act as a reactant, to a sample at equilibrium. It will fastly react with SCN- ions and form NaSCN, sodium thiocyanide, which is a product. As the product in a reaction is denoted in the right side. We will say that the increase in conc of product sodium thiocyanide causes the equilibrium to shift to the right.
