Hi can someone please help with with the following questions, I'm totally confused. If you could show you're work, so I can understand how you got the answer, that'd be awesome. Thanks!
1. A graduated cylinder is carefully filled to the 35.50 mL mark with methylene chloride, CH2CI2. The empty graduated cylinder weighs 38.460g;
a) what is the density of CH2CL2?
b) A seperate and very accuate measurement shows that the density of CH2CL2 is 1.327 g/mL. Calculate the percent error in your answer to part a). The symbols " and" tell us to use the positive value of whatever number is inside.
2. a) Calculate the volume of a solid cylinder with a height of 3.50cm and a diameter of 0.48.
b) Its mass is 6.650g. What is its density? Report answer to the correct number of significant figures and with the correct units.
Thanks again for whatever answers you can help me with!!! =)
