Please could somebody help me out I do not know how to balance this nor what is meant to be on the other side. I have my suspicions about it being correct in the first place so if anyone could just help me out, here's the question:
An experiment was done to find out what factors affect the rate of decomposition of hydrogen peroxide solution. The pupil had a solution of hydrogen peroxide, distilled water, manganese (IV) oxide power, some measuring cylinders, a gas generator and a means of collecting gas. She put various mixtures into her gas generator, and measured how much gas was produced each minute for 10 minutes. The results are shown below.

Volume of gas collected (cm3)
Experiment 1 2 3 4
Time (min)
1 40 80 70 0
2 60 120 77 0
3 70 140 79 0
4 75 150 80 0
5 78 155 80 0
6 79 158 80 0
7 79 159 80 0
8 80 159 80 0
9 80 160 80 0
10 80 160 80 0

Yahoo just keeps changing this table so just a quick thing so you understand it: the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 to the very left are the "time (min)" and the 4 numbers that follow are supposed to be under experiment 1,2,3 and 4 (the numbers next to "experiment").

In experiment 1, the pupil used 50cm3 of hydrogen peroxide solution, 50cm3 of water (both at 20*C) and a pinch of manganese (IV) oxide. Unfortunately she forgot to note down what she put on experiments 2, 3 and 4. The total volume of liquid in the flasks was always 100cm3.

a) What was the gas collected each time?
b) Write an equation for the reaction (this is the question I mentioned above)
c) What part does manganese (IV) oxide play in this reaction?
d) What might have gone into the flask in experiment 2?
e) What might have gone into the flask in experiment 3?
f) What might have caused the result in experiment 4?

I know it is a little much to ask of somebody to answer these questions for me, but the thing is I have been working on this for 2 days and I just can't seem to find the answer. I have tried different equations for question (b) and I have been thinking madly about the others, but I just can't seem to get it. Please if anybody would be kind enough to help me I would greatly appreciate it.
