Okay so I definitly do not know how to do this, I am prety sure I understand everthing else.
SOOOO
we have CuSO4 * 5H20
mass=1.959g
molar mass = 249.7 g/mol
moles = 0.0078
molar mass of Cu ??? maybe 79.545 ??
theoretical yeild in g of CuO >>>???
mass of filter paper 3.754
expiremental mass of CuO - 3.531
Percent yeild of CuO ?????
Percent deviation b/w eperimental anth theoretical yields ????
So all the ones anserwed I figured out, but I am at a loss for the question marked ones.... I have researched and I still cannot figure it out pleae help ?
oh and just in case you need to know this was an expirement and the balanced equation i did for aqueous copper (II) sulfate pentahydrate and sodium hydroxide is
CuSo4 *5H2O + 2NaOH----> [Cu(OH)2] + 2Na +SO4+5H2O
and for the decomposition of copper(II) hydroxide
1[Cu(oh)2] --(heat)-> 1CuO+H2O
and lastly overall balanced equation starting with copper(II) sulfate pentahydrate and ending with copper(II) oxide
CuSO4*5H2O+2NaOH-->2Na+So4+6H2O+CuO
dont kow if this is relevant or not but just in case
Thanks susie , but this is allt he info that was given to me, I dont know what the theoretical should be nor what the actual should be, I would love if someone could show steps, Im not just looking for answers I really do want to kow how to d this. I dont understand what your saying
