Element L has an average atomic mass of 49.1987 amu and is composed of two isotopes. The first has a mass of 50.0692 amu and makes up 46.230% of a standard sample. What is the mass of the second isotope?
Also, if I know the average atomic mass, and the atomic masses of the two isotopes of the fictitious element, how can I find the percentages that the elements naturally occur.
What are the formula's I should use to figure out the problems?
Thanks
