Hi everyone. I hope all is well this eveing! It has been 14 months since my TLIF L4 - S1, still healing. I have certainly had my share of ups and downs since then. On the plus side, my back does not give out on me anymore! And does feel a bit stronger. But, there is still some pain and new pain ( I am sure some of you know ). My Neurosurgeon is still handling me with care ( thank god ). I am seeing him and now a Neurologist ( more doctors ). I have been put on a long acting med and break thru med, boy what a difference! This Friday I am to have nerve blocks at L4, first time having these so I don't know if I am doing the right thing!? I hope it works!! then I get nerve blocks in my shoulder in March. I have been in therapy for almost 5 months now for chronic pain, I am at a point where I am starting to control my life! not this blasted back pain telling me what I can and can't do that day. Being a spiney is a hard road to walk, but it takes a special person to be one!! Sending hugs to everyone who neeRAB one.
