Hello every body , I just wanted to drop bye and say hello. It's not easy to sit down in front of my computer and type to ya'll right now , but my recovery is doing Okay - good days & bad days. All that I know is that having the "anterior approach" fusion is NOT as BAD as having done from the back , I guess when they go in from the posterior approach they have to cut threw muscles and nerves etc..

It's hard getting comfortable right now , can't sit down for any more than 30 minutes before the pain gets bad But I am managing. I am staying at my sisters house and I have my little nephew Tyler to keep me buisy and happy , Again I fel under medicated just like after my last surgery. My P.M doctor has me on 10/325 percs and 5/325 for break threw pain , and 5 mg valium to help me sleep. Does that seem normal to you all after surgery , I am getting by which is the good thing but when the pain kicks inn , it's not pretty..

Emily . Dr.Peps . Linda and everyone else out there THANK YOU , I am sorry that I have not responded in a while but I have other things to deal with.. I hope all is well with all of you and everyone else who is suffering from back pain..

DEv :D

Hope you are feeling better every day! I'll be watching your progress as I may be headed for an anterior approach fusion soon (both anterior and posterior at the same time).

Hi:wave:Billy Boy,
Hey I knew you would contact us when you could but I have to admit I have been worrying about you. Just give it more time Billy. I never had any luck with the percocet so stayed on Lortab 10 but it didn't always cut the pain either. When do you go back to your Pain doctor? Just be honest with him and let him know that you are still having a lot of pain.

Still waiting on results of the myelogram that was done last Thursday and will have an EMG study done on Oct.22nd.

Take care and when you FEEL like it give us an update.

Love Ya---Billy Boy

Hey Billy!
No apologies! We know what it's like to recover from this surgery! I had a light weight laptop and could use my computer lying down. If I hadn't had it, I wouldn't have been on the computer for months!

It sounRAB like your doctor is giving you appropriate pain meRAB. I had only percocet, nothing for break through and nothing to sleep. I wasn't ever pain-free, but it kept it to a manageable level. And the percocet made me drowsy, so I was able to sleep okay.

I think it sounRAB like you're right where you should be at this point, both medically and geographically! Glad Tyler is keeping you entertained! KiRAB are great for the soul!

Keep up the walking and rest as you should. Check in when you're able. I pray for you, Billy Boy. You hang in there!
