Check Fraud questions?

Hello.. I recently posted something in the Gambling section and got some feedback one part of my issue but not the other most important part. Long story short, I'm a recovering Gambling addict over the last few months I've "wrote" (Echecks) about 5k worth of bad checks to online poker sites (They credit you the money instantly then it takes like 2 weeks to clear the bank.) Ive overdrafted 2 bank accounts one is -700 the other is -500. The rest of the Echecks were returned to the online poker sites. I know i've commited a felony and one day I do have plans of paying back my debts however during the peak of my problems i also gambled my savings and rent money ect so I'm trying to get caught up in that first.. (Yes I go to meetings now, No lectures there please.) my question is can I avoid jail time here, I just had a baby boy (part of the reason I had to get clean.) and I dont wanna be locked away, plus i wouldnt do good in jail... I do have a job as a Server its a slow season but I do make a little better then minimun wage atm I'm not concerned about credit or any of that I just wanna know my chances of staying away from criminal charges and what I should do to avoid criminal charges.. atm i've been afraid to answer my phone. Please help and thanks in advance
