go to an auto parts store or dealership like advance or auto zone and have them read the codes itll give you the reason (a code)the light is on and possible answers. from there take it to a mechanic or it could be something simple like u need to replace ur gas cap.
 
take it to a shop and have them scan the computer .... it will tell them what is up exactly ....

you will have to do the repair or the light will come again ...

they can clear the code ... but it will probably come back unless you fix it ...

Fix what ever is causing the light to come on. Get a computer for your truck and see if you can reset it long enough to pass is another option that might or might not work
