Check Engine light on '04 Chevy Classic?

The check engine light on my '04 chevy classic keeps going on and off. It seems to go on when I reach a certain speed (70mph) but will shut off while driving. My dad said that the computer said it was an O2 sensor. How important is this to fix? And how expensive is it?
 
First, read the "GM Litigation" web-sites. Nearly all GM V6's are plagued with intake manifold trouble that mimic head gasket failure. This would cause an O2 failure, as well. Check your coolant level for signs of inexplained use. Also go to NHTSA for more information. Good luck!!!
