Cheaper Verizon Mobile Web On An Alltel Phone?

I used to have alltel before verizon bought them. When Verizon bought them, I got a verizon phone off of eBay. I am on a family plan with 4 other people and they all have Alltel phones. When I called to activate my Verizon phone, The internet price was raised. My question is : If i activate my Alltel phone instead of the verizon phone on my number, willthe internet be cheaper? thank you.
