Cheap xbox 360 250 Gigabyte Hard Drive from Ebay, is this the reason I can't play...

...original xbox games on 360? Tried to play worms 4:Mayhem for original xbox on my 360 and it says "Game couldn't start, try downloading the game again" I bought a cheap xbox 360 250 GB Hard Drive from Ebay and have heard that it might have a partition missing from the hard drive that is required to play originals, and says i need to get one directly from Microsoft for me to be able to play, Thanks for your help
