Hi. I'm looking for an MP3 player for listening to music in the car. I don't need a 120 GB iPod Classic. I just want something I can throw some (about 40) songs on, put it on shuffle, and plug it into my car stereo with a cassette adapter.
An obvious contender is the iPod shuffle, but there are many other cheap 1 GB MP3 players out there.
It has to work with Mac WITHOUT PROPRIETARY SOFTWARE. It would have to mount like a volume and I can drag-and-drop music files to it, like a flash drive. No weird syncing software that will mess up my Mac.
So anybody know of any sub-$40 1GB music players out there?
