Courthouse records show you have been sued numerous times, entered default judgments and are on some payment plans for FDCPA violations. Ryon; the truth is you are a LIAR and a con man. The complaints I receive and attorneys who have contacted me state that you call and threaten people with arrest, seizure and garnishment on debts. You get sued, take judgments, yet don?t pay them. That classifies you as a DEADBEAT DEBT COLLECTOR!

"This is one of the worst debt collectors in the country. Also, they have several very large judgments against them, but their attorney told me recently that the d/c is trying to resolve these "misunderstandings" and satisfy them."

Having just recently starting dealing with you, it is impossible to determine which is larger; Your Ego or Your Mouth!
After receiving a frantic email from a woman claiming you had called and threatened her with arrest for a debt, I attempted to contact you to learn who and what you are. Your response was to lie, misrepresent yourself, and then go out on the web and spread lies and falsehoods about me. Ryon, you already have a TERRIBLE reputation for lies, illegal debt collection practices and NOT paying your own bills.
You have been sued numerous times for illegal debt collection practices and still lie and break the law. Are you REALLY that stupid? Your ravings about suing me have been received Ryon, I?m not impressed or intimidated. We will happily give you the spotlight you seem to crave by publishing whatever transpires and whatever we find on you.
CONSUMERS: This is about as bad as debt collectors get. Ryon is the typical slimy debt collector who will lie, intimidate, threaten coerce, perhaps even stoops to extortion in his attempt to separate you from your money. He is dangerous and should be stopped. It seems that Gambill is willing to gamBLE with getting another judgment he cannot pay against him! This individual has actually filed against Bud Hibbs in Federal Court, Northern District of TX. This is the case number: 4:06-cv-00418-A., Ryan Gambill, Marauder Corporation v. Richard A. Hibbs a.k.a. Bud Hibbs, Susan Hibbs, Brian Saltzberg d/b/a ProComp Tec .
I have looked at the PACER complaint: Basically, it comes down to Gambill trying to argue that Bud Hibbs has no right to criticize him because Hibbs happens to operate a counseling and information service for debtors that refuses to portray him in a flattering light. On top of this, he wants anything that uses the name "Maruader Corporation" to be taken down from the Bud Hibbs site as a trademark violation, including any archives and or search engine links.
Take a look at the complaint and motions for injunction so far and note the First Amendment implications, as well as the distortion of the application of trademark law. One of the arguments uses a case in support that really is about the use of a trademarked name in a domain name not owned by the trademark holder, not the use of the name in a critical essay or opinion column, which is what Hibbs is doing.
The argument about Gambill being a private person is faulty, too: Gambill, by running a business, is making himself at least a quasi-public figure...he has to to promote the business and make a profit. The fact that the business uses the WEB as a major source of self-promotion and the actual business operation should mitigate any alleged damages because Mr. Gambill should be able to post on his site a defense to any and all things that Hibbs does on his! (This is why it is apparently difficult to successfully sue a blog for defamation, since it is easy for the aggrieved to set up one of their own and use that to defend their position. It would be just as easy to do here.)
If Gambill does win the case, then it would set a precedent in which nobody can criticize any corporation, and even use the words in the name in any text without permission if the person happens to run a business which says anything critical of the trademark holders. This would be an abrogation of Hibbs Constitutional rights of free speech...which, in turn, could shut us all down if anyone decides suing us would be a nice gesture. In turn, this would end up suppressing the information--not always favorable to the "otherside"--we need to find and pass on, leaving us defenseless.

I came upon that link by accident while searching for that Keener guy since I found out he lives near me.
Slamabama over at CI owns Maurauder Corp near me and mentioned Kenner and attorney Robert Stempler being buddies who sue debt collectors as well websites like AoC so they will be the only knowledgeable credit people or some conspiracy theory like that.
I actually spoke with Stempler once and he was giving me all kinds of "People on those websites all make claims that aren't true, they all got sued and lost and lie about it on the interntt...blah blah blah." He basically warned me to stay away from sites like this, so I never called him back and handled everything myself.
I followed Flying here becuase I like his style, and his method really did work the best for me. Writing scary certified mail just doesn't work like it did a few years ago.
I'd hoped the other big guns like Tower and Xan would find their way here also, but I imagine they are burnt out. ANyone know where they went?
Note what I bolded: Keener is probably involved through Stempler! And, this idiot is stupid enough to hire an attorney whose sole purpose is to sue every site that deals with credit and collections, including those on the collection side? A person who could very well become a turncoat on HIM, even if he wins (and wins right up through the US Supreme Court) is nobody to trust.

He's having his cake and *eating* it to! (For now that is) It will be interesting to see who turns on who first.....

I'd almost forgotten about all of this. That Maurauder guy lives near me, too. The dropbox he uses as his address is right down the street from my work.
It makes me feel wierd, knowing the forces of evil are so very close.
I hope Keener never pulls me over for anthing, I'm lible to get shot while fussing at him for causing so much trouble for AoC.
Stempler was uppity and had a huge ego. He retuned my call on a Sunday evening from his resort at lake Big Bear (the area code was from there, anyway). As soon as I said the word "internet" he had a fit about the people on these sites who make false claims of succesfully fighting off CA's, which fool people ino thinking they can defend themselves.
I was only taking about looking at court cases on the internet.
