Hello,
Let me start off by just saying thank you for your input and answers here for this question. I live in Buffalo, New York and am looking to do a bicycle ride from here in buffalo to New York City (Which is aprox 498 miles) for SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) Charity. I know that this is a lot to take on, but the SMA does hit home for my family, as my nephew who just celebrated his first birthday about 4 months ago. I know just myself doing this wont make much of a difference, but I just need to know what to do for sponsors, donations, a hotel to stay in for the night or two, a bicycle to use from a known store that would donate them.
I guess what I am asking in this question would be, how and where would I get started on this? Any serious input would be much appreciated and very help full.
I am looking to do this in April or May of 2011, when the weather becomes nice and make it an enjoyable ride for a great cause!
