Need Help with Character Names!!??
so i writing a period piece during the 1800s in England and i need names or suggestions thanks!! here are the characters
1. main character girl needs sweet name that can have a cute nickname also
2. main boy who is love interest: needs strong meaningful name
3. sister needs a name with a bad meaning or connotation but it can't look that way
4. Mother needs simple bland name
5. dad needs uppitty name if you know what i mean
6. evil school girl name
7. boy with a calm sorrowful name
8. friend with a sweet plain name

I would check on Valerie. Doesn't seem like an 1800s name.
Hugh would be more Scottish, and Liam, Irish. At that time, this would matter.

1. I like Evelyn, very pretty.
2. Edmund--it's strong, adult, and I can see someone in the upper or lower class having it.
3. Cassandra--Very mythological, nice.

7. Nigel, I guess. Clive and Alec (esp. Alec) seem too modern. I'm not too fond of any of these names. Perhaps William?
8. Jane--plane, simple, can suit anyone.
