I'm writing a story set in India in the 1930s and I'm trying to decide on a name for one of my main characters who is an Indian man.
The character was born to a Hindu mother, but was raised in a Christian mission after her death, so he has the name they gave him there, but since reaching adulthood has decided to go by the name his mother gave him.
These are some names I've come up with (via internet search, so don't scream at me if they aren't really Indian names):

Raja
