I can't get a picture on channels 846 and 847, I do subscribe to all SN channels after 30 mins on the phone with Bell, resets, testing.. they basically have no idea why I don't get a picture. Anyone else have this problem?

There's nothing on them unless Sportsnet East (846) or West (847) is actually broadcasting something in HD.
The Oilers/Red Wings game should be on 847 at 3:00 eastern (the guide is wrong... at least on my receiver it is), but unless you're in the Oilers region that will be blacked out.

I tried to watch the Edmonton game vs Detroit this morning, none of my receivers or my parents would work either? Must have been a glitch in the system.

Thanks, I'm amazed (or maybe not) that the Bell rep didn't know this and spent 30 mins on the phone trying to fix a non problem ;)

Both Oilers games this weekend were in the guide for Ch. 847 on Saturday and Sunday. Both did not air. Methinks someone broke something...

I've found with the SN channels that you have to flip thru them to actually find one of them that is actually showing what is supposed to be on. Typically its the first one or the ontario channel which is where i am that ends up showing anything. I've seen it advertised on the Ontario channel and it not be shown on that specific one but one of the others instead in the past. The programming is just hit and miss with it. Needs to be fixed but i'm not sure who actually fixs it if its bell or SN or somebody else.

I sent Bell an email yesterday and they passed it up the chain of command according to their reply. Maybe sending something to Sportsnet would get a better reply...

Sportsnet's reply to me said neither Oilers game was supposed to be on in HD. So, chalk this up as a program guide error by Bell on this one.

Looks like someone got the message at Bell because the guide text now says something to the effect of 'scroll through the guide to see when HD programs will air'.

I e-mailed Sportsnet about why 847 Sportsnet West HD is not a full time channel on Bell TV and their response was:

Thanks for our recent email. As of January 26, Sportsnet West HD has been made available to all cable and satellite providers across the country including Bell. If your provider is not giving you that feed, our suggestion is that you contact them directly.

I called BEV to complain about the same problem with 846 & 847. No HD for Oilers vs LA game yesterday. They told me it is a problem with the Rogers system and they have no way to fix it until Rogers fixes their end!!! They had no idea when it will be fixed but I should not worry about it because I can get the regular definition channels, and the HD will come back automatically when they finally fix it!! I just love this company.
