I have a very simple set up, one dish, with two recievers (4100, 2700), no switch, just dual output LNB.

I am able to get channel 400 TSN (I am subscribed, to this channel) on the 2700, but it works fine on the 4100. I have called tech support, nothing they try works. I have reset it, pulled the card (I have already done my card swap, it didnt work before the card swap either). I switch the receivers around, still nothing, took the reciever to another house to test, still nothing.

When I try and access channel 400 I get an ERROR 02 message, signal has been lost, and the details are as follows;

Channel: 400
Satellite: 91
Transponder: 24

I started doing some reading and found that on the lyngsat website, they show TSN as being on TP 25, http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/bell1.html.

Now wouldn't that cause a problem if its looking for the channel on the wrong TP?

I have also gone to the Installation menu at 6-1-1, and tried typing in the different TP's to see what the signal strength is like, and I get 0% on all the TP's above 16. Now this would seem to make sense, as I have a pretty basic package and most of the channels I get are on the 1 - 16 TP's. But I pay for TSN, and it works on the 4100, it just doesnt make sense, anyone have any suggestions?

Channel 400 is indeed on TP 24.

Are your 2700 and 4100 receivers at the same location? I'd suggest swapping them to see if the issue is with your receiver or the cabling.

The most likely cuase is your cabling. It sounds to me like you may have RG59 cable instead of RG6 or you have a splitter in the line (even though you may not be splitting the signal) which is reducing your frequency range.

If you have access to the dish, you can try swapping the cables on the LNB to see if that helps narrow down the problem as well. A bad LNB is less likely, but it could be a bad connection.

Receivers are in the same house, I have swapped the receivers around many times, and tried the problematic 2700 at different locations, and still no Channel 400 on the 2700.

Back to the TP issue, are you saying that LYNGSAT listing Channel 400 TSN as being on TP 25 is incorrect? I'm not saying that LYNGSAT can't be wrong, but just wondering.

It sounds like the 2700 lost sight of some of it's programming. I think it is time to call Bell.

Have had a few Customers in the last few days that have lost just a couple of channels, the only fix has been for Bell to remove ALL programming, then add it back. That has worked in 100% of calls so far, so I would call Bell.

If the issue follows the 2700 and it appears in the guide but you get a signal error, then the programming on the card is fine, but it sounds like you have a hardware problem.

It could still be a low grade signal issue due to cabling and the 2700 is more sensitive than your other unit. If you have a friend that has a dish, you could try it there or as noted above try a new, premanufactured cable right to the dish.

As for lyngsat, providers move channels around all the time. I can't say why they have the wrong info, but I verified by tuning in to the channel then going into menu-6-1-1. The "current" TP will be shown by default. (you can check this on your other unit)

I lost all my channels but Bell channels on my 2700, but all other rcvrs were okay. Rebooted several times, tried check switch, etc with no results. Called Bell went through all of the same, then they finally sent new "HIT" to my rcvr got most of my channels back, was missing TSN2 (may have been others), still after 24 hours. Called Bell, after going though it all again, they had to remove all my programing on that reciever, and re-initiallize it to get it back. Within 10 mins. I had TSN2 back! I hope you have your channels back, but if not this is what will probably have to be done! Good Luck, just saw this today hope it's of assistance.
