I am currently grandfathered with the $10 HD package and $27 for digital standard. I was interested in adding the Documentary channel to my lineup but I am wondering if I will lose my grandfathering price if I do this? I know I will lose those costs if I remove packages/channels but what about adding or swapping channels?

Secondly I have 2 spare receivers that I don't use at $3 a month or so, if I was to return these would I also lose my grandfathering price?

As far as I am aware, ANY change to programming would result in the loss of your grandfathered package price. (adding, removing, swapping).

I would be very surprised if the return of your rental units also triggered a price change as I believe it is tied to programming, not hardware.

The only way to know for sure is to call and ask.

There is 2 different isssues involved here...

You are getting the Digital Standard at 27$ probably cause you have a price protection due ton a contract. Once your contract ends you will auomatically be increased at 31$.

When you have a price protection like that adding a theme. or changing a theme for another of the same value doesn't remove it, but as soon as you remove something the price protection no longer applies.

In the case of the HD channels you have what they call grandfathered package. Changing, adding or even removing won't change anything to that

Rules might have changed since I left there too...

Ahh thank you for the explanation. My contract is actually up at the end of this month so I guess I might see my bill increase :P

But if you remove the package and decide later on to resuscribe ou will resuscribe at the current rate and with the new packages
