Changing Oil Pressure Switch on 97 Jeep Cherokee?

This sounds retarded but, which way do I unscrew it? The thing is in there pretty tight and secure (it's factory), and I don't want to screw anything up. Do I go the same direction as the oil filter (left to right standing at the grill facing the engine)? That is called "counterclockwise" in my manual, though that confuses me.
*"Left to right" as in when REMOVING the oil filter.
 
Turn it left to loosen right to tighten. Righty tighty lefty loosey. If you are looking at a clock counter clockwise is turning the clock backwards. Clockwise would be turning the clock ahead.
