Changed major, want to pursue law?

So i'm a sophmore beginning in september and for freshman year i did horrible, taking pre-med classes, all for my parents. finally i decided to do what i want, which is law. however, my lack of motivation resulted in low grades, even one failing grade, and gpa below 2.0. but i'm retaking calc, probably getting an A in it, and will have a gpa of about 2.2 or 2.3. I am going to major in English and Philosophy...will that give me the best lsat scores? Also, is there time, since i havent even started sophmore year yet, to bring my G.P.A up? When motivated, I can accomplish anything, but I fear that I will be unable to bring my G.P.A up in time. Will I be able to?
 
In regards to your first question, English and Philosophy are the most applicable majors for your LSATs. It's because both have skill sets transferable to the exam. However, the degree with the most applicability to your L.L.B. STUDIES would be a commerce degree.

In response to your second question, if your university has a summer term, you can try upgrading any courses available. However, your low GPA won't count for much when you apply to Law School so long as you pull up your socks in Sophmore year.

I'd suggest going into a tutoring program as a TUTOR. Find a course you did well in last year and offer to tutor in it, as it will help you realize the importance of learning things on a schedule (for the betterment of both yourself and others). Mentoring tends to be the best way of correcting problems in others to correct them in ourselves.
