Last feb. 1 we bought a second hand Rover 25, it started to show a light as soon as we got it, we took it back & had it checked, it got sorted out. 2 weeks ago we noticed we were loosing coolant, we took the car back to where we bought it from as it is still under warannty (3 months from when we bought it) they checked it out and said that they couldn't find anything wrong with the car, they marked the measurements of coolant and asked us to bring it back on monday. I talked to a close friend & he said that the car has signs of the head gasket beggining to go. I also took the car to a garage & they said the same thing. I will wait and see what they tell me on monday, i think they are not telling me the truth & are just waiting for the warrannty to run out. Should I change the car or have it fixed? Am I within my rights to demand the car to be changed as it it showing signs of the blown head gasket.

change it.Rovers are lemons. My friend had one and it kept breaking down.It will cost a lot in repairs down the road.

I would have them fix the head gasket if you're losing coolant and you don't have a leak then you're definitely burning it which is very bad for the motor........get it fixed soon though cause it'll cost about $600-$1000 depending on make and model. Hope this helps.
