I bought a new car feb 13, 2010 and well it says before 3k miles or 3 months I should get my oil changed.... My question is, do they mean whichever comes first? Because I only have 1780 miles on my car and 3 months will be may 13th..so I should get it done before then? Or wait just before it nears for the 3k miles marker?
2nd question is, do I have to take it to the dealer (in this case nissan) to get the oil changed? Or can I get it done anywhere (ie: superlube) and they will note it down and I will have no problems? I reason I ask is because I heard if you dont follow regular maintenance as required then they may say in the future that the warranty is void cuz of it...
