Originally, my boyfriend lived at his grandparents house. His PO officer had that address listed as his permanent address. Last weekend, my boyfriend got kicked out of his grandparents house because my boyfriend and his grandfather were not getting along (nothing physical erupted, they just can't live together). Now, my boyfriend has moved into his friends house and his new housing does not disobey any of his housing restrictions.
Well, the day after my boyfriend got kicked out of his grandparents house, his Probation Officer came to his grandparents house to check on him, His grandfather told him that my boyfriend no longer resides there. My boyfriend was going to talk to his PO tomorrow (even before his PO came to check on him) to let him know about his address change.
Will my boyfriend get in trouble for changing his address without telling his PO first?
All of this happened in IL.
