Change American Dad to American Teen.

The Steve-centered episodes are always the best on American Dad. They should just go ahead and make him the star. If Happy Days could go from a show about a middle class family in the 1950s to a show about a `50s hooligan than so could American Dad.

Well, I do like Steve more than I do Stan. If that were to happen, I would hope that we could see more of Hayley as well. perhaps she could be more of a source of annoyance to Steve (I've always enjoyed annoying sister characters for some odd reason).

I like Steve plots. But a whole show of them would get boring. I find just as much to enjoy in Stan plots. I'm glad the show has some variety like this.

So yeah, I wouldn't want to see this show go in that direction. Also don't see how this justified it's own thread.

Stan is a great character, but like Stewie on Family Guy, he hasn't been used to his full potential. They do alright with the conservative stuff, but he's also a CIA agent. They could have more episodes where he goes out on missions, maybe even throw in a couple of action scenes here and there. If the writers don't care about that stuff then just stick to Steve. They do better with him anyway.

I'd prefer it if Steve sticked to his school adventures.

Remember the show is called American Dad. So the CIA stuff is only half of what this character is. Who says the writers don't care about this stuff? Again, I wouldn't want to see the same thing all the time.

And it's Roger who is the breakout character. If they're going to pay attention to someone it's probably going to be Roger.

Hm.

True, but the thing is that Roger isn't a leading man. he's an integral supporting player. What makes Roger's character work is his contrast to the more "normal" characters in the rest of the cast. A show with Roger as ALF wouldn't really work because if Roger were up front, it would be a very different Roger than the one that we know and enjoy. Some of his outrageousness would have to replaced with likability.

Yeah. Since Seth would obviously never make a move like this, I have to agree.

And how many dads are on TV? What seperates Stan is that he's a CIA agent. And they don't use that on the show too often. And when they do it's for something silly like he's secretly bald. What about more episodes like when he moves the family to the middle east? The show needs more crazy CIA stories like that.

Who says it'll be the same thing every week? The show focusing on Stan's CIA adventures or on Steve's schemes doesn't have to be the same thing every week. Remember the peanut butter episode from a few seasons ago? How was that similar to tonight's episode? See? You can have CIA and Steve stuff every week and make it unique and different. It's called creativity.

Roger is popular cause he's a scene stealer not cause his episodes stand out per say. Steve has been the one hitting the home runs with his centered episodes.

I rather keep it at 'American Dad'. The Steve plots are good, but so are the Stan ones.

What show needs to do is give Hayley, her own adventure. Steve already has had his own 2 epsiodes, so it's time for Hayley to something too. Also, Klaus needs more jokes un him, so he can be less of a butt-monkey because he's a fish in a bowl.

How about Steve getting his own American Dad spin-off? It would be a companion to American Dad like the upcoming Cleveland Show will be a companion to Family Guy.
