Hello, I am a high school senior, and I have recently applied to a 4 year university in the state of Colorado, listing my declared major as Biology pre-Med taking the MCAT exam after 4 years in hopes to get accepted to medical school. The problem is I am not so sure if I am ready enough to be able to do well in some courses that a pre-med student must undergo. I never took a chemistry course in high school, but I did take biology my sophomore year along with earth science my freshmen year concluding with a semester of physics my current senior year. I have done somewhat well in the classes but I am afraid of the difficulty of being a pre-med major. What are my chances of being able to jump right into college science courses and being successful? I wish to be an orthopedic surgeon, pediatrician, or some other related medical field. I have had trouble finding good advice. Your advice or shared prior experience is greatly appreciated!
