on broken concrete
looking like
an expectant father with
the clap
Shaking, I check my watch
almost 5 hours
when it began
A herd of pachyderms
pink in hue
chased Charlie away
Sweat stains grow under my
arm
Steadiness fades
to sway
My mind is wound tighter
than my watch
still no relief today
Minuets take the long way home
I start my life at 7 o'clock
but now
I suffer and wait
