Reading the results of my neck MRI, it sounds pretty bad. Does this sound like sure bet of surgery below???
Nurse called day after test and said they are sending me to neurosurgeon. I have a 25+ year history of left arm, neck, shoulder and hand pain with a total of 8 surguries. Some for thoracic outlet syndrome. Still have problems on left side. I had a neck MRI done 2 years ago after I was rear-ended in a car accident. Had a whiplash injury. Nothing remarkable except mild stenosis at c5-c6. on that mri.
I have recently started having a lot of right arm tingling and muscle spasms, plus pain in neck and back of shoulder on right side.
Here is current mri results:
c5-c6 says diffuse disc bulging with a broad-based superimposed left paracentral and proximal foraminal protrusion and spur complex. Also small right proximal frontal protrusion and spur complex. Moderate to severe left and moderate right foraminal narrowing. Mild cord flattening and AP canal narrowing.
c2-c3 - left greater than right paracentral and uncovertebral spurring, plus mild left foraminal narrowing.
c3-c4 - minimal disc bulging and diffuse endplate hypertrophic change left greater than right.
c4-c5 minimal diffuse disc buling hypertrophic change. mild left and minimal right foraminal narrowing.
c6-c7 - moderate uncovertebral spurring bilaterally
Incidental note is made of mild disc bulging at t2-t3 on sagittal images.
There is loss of normal lordosis.
New to this sight and never have used a board. Will a doctor respond to this?
