Hey I'm looking to buy a new bike for the next cycling season as i start training & racing a lot more and i have narrowed my choice to the Cervelo S1 or S2, both with a full DA 7900 group and Zipp 404 wheels for racing. (most likely will wait for the 2010 model for the soloist as i like the paint job a lot more)
My only concern is the Carbon on the SS2. I'm scared to get a full carbon bike as I have crashed once in the past on my aluminum and it survived, but a carbon frame wont be that forgiving. New york city streets aren't all that great in the first place.
Price is not an issue, but having this bike for at least 3 years is, and if i crash or dent my carbon frame there will be little option for me to buy a new one.
Any thoughts?
