I've seen this done before where live stone is laid in a way that looks like it's one solid piece of stone all throughout the house unless you're on your hands and knees looking very closely for that fine line where they two pieces meet. There's no thick grouting that breaks up the stone, just the tiles flush against each other. I forget what the style is called, I was talking to a friend about it and can't seem to remember and naturally it's been bothering me.
