I've been getting harassed by the census bureau of late, which is odd since I returned my documentation months ago. I asked the latest caller and she said that the Census Bureau is now collecting extended information on American citizens.
I asked her for what statute this was authorized under, and she quoted Title 13 Section 141 - which makes no mention of "long form" type information.
So is this really mandatory, and what is the *actual* legal authorization if so?
