Im just curious; I was pulled over last night because a CHP officer believed I had been talking on the phone while driving. I was not. He proceded to ask me to show him my cell phone and it's call logs. I showed him. My last call was more than 4 hours before and the officer quickly apologized for wasting my time and let me go.
My question is:
Is it legal in California for a CHP officer to ask you to produce your cellphone call log? My guess is that it is legal, but it seems a bit suspicious.
