Okay, so my friend went a got cellphones in his name...put them on a family plan and gave them to me and my girlfriend. We didn't know but the cellphone provider asked him who they were for and he said his sisters. He did NOT have to give the sisters birth date or social security number. He signed them under his name and we signed NOTHING. Then his mom called me saying that she called the cops because i used her daughters name on a phone and that's fraud? Is this really fraud and can I get in trouble for it, if so how much trouble? He just said they were using them not that they were paying for them or anything?
