Cellphone Companies and Phones Feedback needed

Hello, I've been feverishly looking up info online regarding various cellphone companies and cellphones. Of course there are some great pros but there are also some cons with all companies and it can be frustrating when you think you've found a good company (or phone) but than read a few negative comments and second guess yourself. So, I'm gonna need some feedback from some regular users and forum folk.

I live in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) in Ontario. I have been with Rogers and with Telus. Rogers was good but expensive. Telus has had a few glitches (Text's coming in late/recipients receiving them late) however it was cheaper and still good.

I'm looking for a cheap plan. I am not looking into getting an Iphone or a Blackberry. Quite simply, all I need is unlimited texting. I am not to interested in internet usage or facebook or twitter off my phone. The plans are far too expensive for myself to pay as I am a student.

One company I've been looking at is Koodo. They offer cheap plans at 15 bucks and with unlimited texting it can come out to only 25 bucks a month. Not too mention you don't have those stupid 9/11 fee's or system access fee's. Haven't seen many negatives other than poor customer reps when calling in with problems.

As for phones, I'm not picky. Like I said, I don't need the Iphone or Blackberry. However, I've been looking at a phone and am liking the LG Breeze, Samsung Galaxy and Samsung Advance. I haven't been looking to deeply into phones, so does anybody have any recommendations other than those? I like the fact that they can be touchscreen and have a QWERTY keyboard, though.

Thanks for any feedback in advance. =)
