Celica good car to play with?

Me and a couple friends are touring the country in the summer after collage, and i need a better car to keep up with thier's, a 2005 lance evo and a 2005 subaru wrx sti, i like Toyota had a 92 supra from 16 to 21. i like Toyota's a lot my friend said that a celica is a good car to mod but i don't know much about it so any info would help thanks.
