I'm starting to take celexa now. I was just wondering what others have experienced when on this med. What side effects did you experience. I'm mainly taking it for social anxiety.
 
You will probably experience some of the common side effects that come with all the SSRI antidepressants. You will probably find that you feel slightly worse for a week or two before you actually feel better, because a common side effect when starting SSRI antidepressants is increased anxiety. You might also experience a mild headache, mild dizziness and nausea for several day in the beginning as well. Most of the unpleasant side effects will go away in the first week or two. It
 
Sorry man, but SSRIs are pretty much a trial and error thing. Which kinda sucks because some are dirt cheap and some are crazy expensive. They really act to certain people in certain ways and people will favor certain ones over others like they prefer coke over pepsi or something. It's really impossible to tell what exact side effects are gonna come with the medicine your doctor gives you as far as SSRIs go.
