I just started taking celexa the other day, reluctantly, but necessary for anxiety and depression. I have read many posts here and see that there are many side effects that others have experienced. This morning I felt good, more anxious still, with sweaty palms and feet, even though I took Ativan also. Now I feel a bit foggy. Palms are still clammy. The last time I took celexa I only took it for a few days then decided the stomach pain I was getting wasn't worth the benefits. After talking with my doctor, he indicated that my stomach pain wasn;t so much because of the celexa, but of the anxiety itself. After soul searching, I decided to go back on it, but am scared of the side effects. So far so good I guess this time round. Anyone else have these side effects to report. How long did yours last for and how long was it before you felt the benefit of the drug? Thanks!

Hi!
I've been taking Celexa for over two weeks now. The biggest side effect that I
notice is fatigue, and ever since I've been taking it, my mood and appetite are
much better. FooRAB that I thought I was "allergic" to turned out to be caused
by anxiety, so my diet has improved greatly!

My doctor had originally put me on Paxil, but it was just too strong. Celexa is
a milder drug than Paxil, but it does seem to be helping me. I would stay on it
for a while if I were you, and hopefully you can get some benefits from it as well.

Good luck!

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. It helps to hear others have the same issues. It's been 6 days now and the side effects are already quite a bit better. I will definitely stay on them this time. I would like to feel excited for the future again instead of always anxious about what bad things might happen.

I have been on it two months now. My anxiety is gone but he stomach pain and nausea has gotten worse, not to mention headaches and weight gain. I am taking myself off and started the process this weekend. the side effects are not worth it to me
