Ive had the phone for 2 months so i wanted to get ringontes and wallpaper on it......so I purchased a USB cable to try n transfer over the data....does anybody know what porgram i can use to do so?

The cables work with BitPim - ButPim notes a disclaimer on their site because some models of 89xx series phones will reboot continously if you UPLOAD data to the phone. This is not all 89xx phones, and it's not only with BitPim.. its the filesystem of the phone itself that has a problem

ok quick question.....i followed ur tutorial on how to get it working..i purchased the usb cord, and i downloaded the appropriate software from your tutorial. After i downloaded it, i realized it is coming up as a notepad document with writing....and when i click sttings on bitpim and try to convert ports, it is not reading a "curitel" driver......ne suggestions?

I was looking at the tutorial provided by the phone mall and noticed that the phone looks different than mine. I purchased mine from Cellular South and it is a camera w/ flash. It has the blue stripe down the center cover but it does not have the LCD screen. Will these instructions still work with this model? Can I provide you with more information? My purpose is to also download ringtones. Thanks

i tried to do the tutorial, but no matter what i did, after i downloaded bitpim, it wouldnt work on my comp!! when i try to open it, the opening window pops up that says 'bitpim'...but then nothing else happens!!! i cant get into the program at all! help! :ah:

my suggestion to all of you who are trying to screw with your file system, i wouldn't. That can totally mess up your cell phone. I tried the exact same thing, messing around with the file system. but if you mix something up, sometimes it doesn't even matter how may files you back up because you can't even start up the phone to replace the messed up files. I AM THROWING CAUTION OUT THERE TRYING THIS. You can do it but I would deffinatly TAKE YOUR TIME AND THINK. Also try to do it durring your warranty, or returning time.( :smart: )

I to would suggest that you all atleast get some type of warrenty on your phone... I go with Cellular One, so I have mobel guard, IE if it screws up (the reboot constant thing) instead of losing my phone for 2 months while they try to repair it, i just take hammer to phone bring it in and ask for replacement for 50$....

ANyhow...
