Hello everyone! Great site. I only found it today and was amazed at all the information available in one spot!
I tried some searching, but could not find out much information about the CDM8450 that I recently pruchased for a Prepaid plan.
Does anybody have any experiences (good/bad) with this phone? I am concerend about reception, dropped calls, user-friendlyness, etc. I don't use the phone often, but so far the reception has been decent where I live (in the city) and I only had one dropped call, but I was talking to someone else on a cell phone, so I don't know if it was my phone or hers.
I am also interesed in getting some new ringtones. I've spent some time on the Aliant sites (through the phone) and I picked up a couple of ringtones (at $1.50 a pop CDN). Through some reading, I realized that some phones have a 32 tone polyphonic system, while others can play mp3s and other files. I believe my phone has the 32 tone system, but couldn't find that info recently when I tried to look for it. The users manual doesn't tell me what kind of files the ringtones are saved as. How compatable are the ringtones on this site with my phone? Will I have any trouble getting certain ringtones? I don't have a data cable and probably won't be able to get the ringtone into the phone through a PC, so I will have to get it off the net.
