CB "uninstalled" - any ideas?

I have the 2008 Ultra Classic. I noticed that both antennas were a little loose so I hand-tightened them. The next time I rode, I turned on the radio and got only static. Nothing would come through. On a "seek" it just keeps going around and around the dial. Then I tested the CB, when I hit the button to bring it up, the message states "option not installed, contact a dealer" or something like that. I KNOW the CB is there because it used it on my cross-country trip. I've taken it to 2 dealerships and everybody who looks at it says the same thing. "It should be working, there's nothing physically wrong with it."

ANY IDEAS ANYONE? I'm stumped on how to proceed.

without looking at it, I'd remove all the connections and start over connecting it.
Just the CB portion? ( i'm guessing yes)

Did you key the mike when it was working without the antenna tight? If so you may have blown it internally from the tranxmit wattage. .......Otherwise basicc troubleshooting and the wiring diagram
 
On the first page of the Touring forum there is a section of "sticky's at the top. Try the HK self-diagnostic sticky and see if you HK is showing any codes.

Also, contact Iron Cross Audio; they're the experts on HK radios.
