Caught cheating...would you confess when asked?

If you were cheating with a guy and you know he has a girlfriend then the guy gets caught by his girlfriend what would you say when she calls to ask you what was going on? Would you tell her the truth that you were seeing her man, or lie for him and say nothing happened, or tell her to talk to him not you or ignore her calls? How would you respond to her?
 
For me I would lie and say nothing happened because this would lessen the tendency that the girl will be mad at you. In the first place your relationship with the man is a lie so why say the truth now? Let the man handle the situation, he’s the problem not you.
