was the point of Jesus coming to earth if you only confess your sins to a bishop and not Jesus Christ Himself,please explain.

No Andrew-Jesus gave men power to witness to others,but as far as confess our sins one to another,that simply means to share you problems and pray for one another.Witnessing to others that they might receive Jesus Christ in their heart.
