Catalan and/or Spanish - to speak about the environment?

I need to learn both, but one or the other will do. So I would like to learn to talk about the environment. To be able to speak about things like this:

climate
environment
global warming
melting ice caps
animals becoming extinct
rising seas
panda/polar bears
saving the planet/going green
endangered species
ozone layer - the hole
greenhouse gasses
natural resources

Basically, I'd like to be able to speak about what's happening with the world right now. Any help with translating these words in either language would really be helpful, or a link to somewhere that can help me further. I have tried search engines, but they give me completely irrelevant results.

Thanks in advance.

Spanish is spoken by 300 million people whilst Catalan is spoken by less that a million so why would you bother learning it. In any case you had better take a course rather than using just a few phrases.
