I think that if you bring a little boy from Africa and attach him headphones playing the same song 24/7 and in exchange you give him food and a sofa where to sleep, he will still smile and be grateful. Does it mean he "doesn`t care" about the headphones? or he "just got used to it"....? No, it means he is trying to live life with them on!
C'mon people treat your cats with some common sense...
I've read that some people say "my cat asks me the bell back after shower" of course! you have caused such a damage in his brain that I think that if you take off the headphones from the little boy once he is older...he would ask it back!
Don't go against nature...that is for me animal abuse...just because you are taking care of a cat doesn't mean you can attach not natural things to him!
