Hello. I am allergic to cats. I found this out when I needed to have an epipen after picking up a kitten. I seem to only get the allergy to that extent after touching the animal, but I was wondering my nephew has cats and I am going to be babysitting him five days a week. Is this going to be a problem with my allergy. I don't mind if my nose is stuffy, but I don't want to risk having a full blown reaction, and I also don't want to be afraid. I take claritin daily to manage my other allergies.

Does the Clariton keep your symptoms at bay? I would try going over to your nephew's house before you are babysitting and see how you feel when you leave. Of course, take your EpiPen with you when you babysit. ;)
