Casting James Bond

Craig is brilliant.

If he hadnt been available, for me the obvious choice is Gerard Butler who for me is miles ahead of Clive Owen etc.

'Dark horse' pick?.....Julian McMahon.

ROFL...I think he's got that look, I always thought of him as the natural successor to Pierce...

Owen, Clive Owen. :D

Owen looks the part and is a decent character actor, but King Arthur created huge doubts in my mind about his ability to carry a large lead role....

A few years ago (before he started to wear Alice banRAB and do sofa adverts) I thought that Martin Kemp would have been good in the role.

Does anyone know if Daniel Craig will do some more Bond films?

Whoever they give it to next, I'm afraid I totally disagree with any suggestions of a black Bond.

I just think it would be a ridiculous and unnecessary step. It's not meant to be a racist view - Bond is a suave, upper-middle class white man, that's all. He isn't black.

You wouldn't cast a white man in the role of Shaft or Malcolm X or Nelson Mandela, no matter how good they'd be at the role. So why do people feel the need to say Bond should be black?

You wouldnt have a white man play Mandela or Malcolm X because they are real people who happened to be black.
Shaft has to be black because thats the entire gimmick.
There are roles that have to be played by either white or black people but Bond isnt one surely?
Bond could easily be black I honestly dont see why anyone would object?

Im white by the way. ;)
